On April 23, 2016, Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport hosted a Fly-In. Nearly 500 spectators enjoyed viewing 54 Aircraft, U.S. Coast Guard, PHI Air Medical, Bristow Helicopter, 17 Antique Tractors from the Saltgrass Antique Tractors Club, 58 Classic Cars from the Classic Cars of Brazoria County Club, and 24 RC Model Aircraft from the Brazoria County Modelers Association. Many aircraft participated in the Precision Landing Contest with the winner coming within feet of the chalk line. The B-17 from the Lone Star Flight Museum did a special fly by for the spectators. Not only were the spectators able to enjoy all the airport had to offer, but they were able to enjoy great food provided by Runway Café. The Fly In will become an annual tradition of the Texas Gulf Coast community. Do not miss this fun filled event next year.
